Main Street storefronts fill up as downtown revival gains momentum
Six new businesses have opened downtown this year, and owners say foot traffic is the best they've seen in a decade.

Walk down Main Street on a Saturday and you'll find something that was rare a few years ago: crowds.
Six new shops and restaurants have opened since spring, filling storefronts that sat empty through the pandemic. Owners credit festival visitors, a growing university and a renewed habit among locals of shopping close to home.
The city's downtown committee plans to add benches, planters and string lights along the corridor before next summer.
